Explore the rocky edge of the generation gap as cultures clash when NYC businessman Bill Compton accidently kills his daughter’s hippie-junkie-drug dealing boyfriend. A by chance meeting at a bar brings Compton in contact with the loudmouthed, bigoted, factory worker Joe. Watching the news, and remembering their encounter, Joe puts two and two together and sees Compton as a kindred spirit. Looking up Compton, Joe joins search for the runaway daughter in New York’s counter culture, the East Village’s drug scene, and finally upstate at a hippie commune, with tragic results.
