In 1959, Cleveland deejay Alan Freed is under the gun. He is under attack by parents, church groups and bigots just because he plays rock ‘n’ roll music. Also, he is working to put together his biggest all-star rock show ever at New York City’s Brooklyn Paramount Theater.
