In the not so distant future robots are an ordinary part of everyday life. But when a robot goes “bad” it is up to police sergeant Jack Ramsay of the Runaway Squad to terminate the defective, or “runaway” robot. A routine investigation into the death of an electronics engineer soon reveals an evil terrorist plot to develop an ultimate robot weapon. Soon Ramsay and his partner are hot on the trail of the brilliant, but deranged, electronics genius Charles Luther who hopes to spread fear and chaos throughout the world.
